Do you want a wedding with a difference?
Why not consider a historical theme wedding day entertainment?
Carol and John invited all their guests to Fountains Abbey and held a medieval wedding day.
Guests dressed in costume and were invited to experience a medieval encampment with its crafts and skills. They celebrated the marriage in the wonderful Fountains Hall, feasted in the visitors centre, danced listened to music and were absorbed by the bride and groom's hospitality.

Hautbois offer informal music for a reception based on any given period of history: Maybe a medieval theme appeals, or perhaps Jacobean love songs to set the scene. How about an evening celebration of jazz and ragtime music to help the guests relax after a day full of celebration.
The musicians have played at many weddings in hotels and historical venues, and they are prepared to accommodate requests for specific music during a civil celebration.
Venues that the musicians have played at for weddings over the years include:
- Augill Castle, Cumbria
- Worsley Court House Hotel, Cheshire
- Hedingham Castle, Suffolk
- Bolton Castle, Wensleydale
- Fountains Abbey, Ripon, North Yorkshire
